Amazing Success
October 24th, 2008

It is amazing what happens when you decide to put in the hard yards, so to speak.

As I walk along the street, I seem to be always looking for money. This is a subconscious thing that has eventuated from my looking for a dollar coin. I didn’t find a dollar coin, but after a number of weeks I did find what amounted to one dollar.

In fact, I was rather surprised when I found my last coin to make up the one dollar. The reason for this is the 10c coin was the color of the dirt it was impressed into. However, my eye was able to distinguish that it looked like a 10c piece. So I bent down and removed it from the dirt. Had I not been walking along looking for money on the street or over the grass or under the trees in the dirt where I was walking, I would not have seen the 10c piece.

Now when I go for my walks, even though I am not purposefully focused on looking for money on the ground, I find myself doing it anyway.

What was interesting when I found that last coin under the trees, I was thinking that there was more likelihood of my finding some folding stuff rather than a coin. Because where I was then, the only way I thought any money would get there would be if the wind were to blow it there. So I was thinking I would more than likely find a $50.00 note rather than a coin.

Anyhow, as it so happened I was walking along the street the other morning and I saw what looked like a fifty dollar note, somewhat camouflaged by the grass, because the actual color of an Australian $50 note is a yellow-green, just like the grass tends to be in many parts of the country; especially where I found this $50 note. This is due to the lack of rain. I bent over and picked up the note.

The only way you can discipline yourself is to actually practice doing something. This is why it is important to look for money on the street, if you want to go on this adventure and discover the secrets of going from $0 to $1,000,000. Yes, you can take short-cuts; but if you take short-cuts, you will only be cutting yourself short.

When you are disciplined enough to seek something out until you find it, an amazing thing happens in life, you tend to find much more than you would have originally thought possible. Like that fifty dollars I found. Life is like this. Jesus Christ said that to those who have, more shall be given. This is because, those who have, have because they have done what is required to learn something properly.

Once you learn how to successfully do something, the truth is you will always be good at it. Once you learn how to make money at a certain level, you will be able to go to the next level without any problem. It is like the gateway is opened because you have passed the unwritten test.

I don’t know whether you have thought of this, but there are people who go to Las Vegas and lose money, but there are also a few that go to Las Vegas and make money on the casino tables, and even on the one armed bandits. The reason for this is discipline and specialized knowledge. You cannot obtain specialized knowledge without discipline, and to be disciplined you need to be trained. Unlike having an intellectual grasp or an academic appreciation or the ability to recount someone else’s story, training comes for experience. Training is experiential knowledge. Spectators do not get the glory, only the players do. But it is easier to be a spectator than a player.

Life Is About Adventure
October 5th, 2008

Life is about adventure. If you have no adventure in your life, you are not really going to be having much fun. The word “adventure” is derived from the Latin advenire = from ad- + venire to come. The very root of the word suggests that you are going from one experience and coming into another experience. The one thing adventure does not mean is being in a rut, or digging a grave, or being caged up. To have adventure in your life means that you are not going to have a boring, mundane existence. Adventure means that you are going to enjoy your life.

Interestingly, just yesterday a woman was asking me about how to make money on the share market and what share-trading involved. She said that she felt it was too risky. Then I suggested that she might feel more comfortable making money from buying and selling property without actually putting up any money. To my amazement, she said that sounded too risky and she wasn’t prepared to take the chance of losing any money.

Maybe this woman is adventurous in other ways. Many people are. She could be a sky-diver or a base jumper. She might have some other risky habits which put her own life at risk, only she is afraid of risking her money to make a profit or taking on responsibility to obtain a guaranteed profit.

Adventure does involve degrees of danger and unknown risks, if you go to extremes. So people see gambling as an adventure. Only with gambling the risk is known. You will go broke when you have lost everything you have; unless, of course, you decide to borrow money from loan sharks, then you might find that going broke means getting a few broken bones.

Personally, I like to look at adventure as being an experience. You can even have adventures in your own mind, simply by using your imagination. However, at some point these need to have some expression, not verbal diarrhea, but something more tasteful, and, hopefully, motivational, so you take action and turn what could be merely a fantasy of the mind into a reality in your life–for all things are possible for those who believe.

You may have heard of the saying, “What the mind can conceive, it is possible for you to achieve.”

Whatever you can conceive with your mind, believe you can achieve it and you will find a way to do so. An idea that is exciting can now turn into a remarkable experience, or many remarkable experiences as you set upon your adventure of bringing your idea into fruition. In most instances, this will require some financial risk; all enterprises do. But you can limit your risk, so that it is so minimal that it is not really classified a risk. For instance, a little insurance policy might do the job, which would be a small risk indeed.

Probably the best way to limit your risk is to do as much research as possible about any enterprise in which you might be thinking of being involved and determining how you can eliminate the risk altogether. Then you can let your adventure begin.

Actually, I have decided to take on a new venture. I am going to prove it is possible to literally start out with zero dollars and end up with one million dollars in the hand. You might think this is impossible. You might think this is a fantasy, but one million in the hand is better than two million in the bush.

What I have decided to do is prove this by recording my little adventure, so members of my club can see for themselves how they, too, can go from zero dollars to a million in twenty steps.

More on this in my next blog.

Cycles are basically why history repeats itself. As the saying goes, “There is nothing new under the sun for what goes round, comes round.”

Life cycles can be those seen in the animal world where a frog lays eggs that become tadpoles that grow legs and become frogs. Or a butterfly lays eggs which become caterpillars that become chrysalises that become butterflies. The metamorphosis of life is all about change, but as another saying goes, “The more we change, the more we stay the same.”

The human life cycle, on the face of it all, seems to be parents, baby, child, adolescent, adult.

Only there is more to the human life cycle because of the specific ability we have to think. Humans are spiritual beings and psychological beings as well as biological beings. In this respect, humans go through a process of life that starts on the biological plane and struggles through the psychological dramas in the ultimate hope of becoming a serene spiritual being.

When you think about this process of morphing from a biological being to a spiritual being via the dramas of our psychological struggles, it is as if the metamorphosis of who we are to become takes place in the internal struggles of our own mind. When our mind wins the battle, and we realize that the difference to being who are meant to be, and becoming who we are meant to be, is simply understanding that it all about mind over matter, the victory has been won. We can emerge as masters of our universe.

It is all about mind over matter, if we are to truly become the person were are inherently engineered to be. Although, this sounds simple, like the idea of turning the light on in a dark room, for most people this is a major struggle. In fact, from literature and experience, there does not appear to have been many humans who have been accredited with having achieved the ultimate prize of being able to overcome death.

Many people talk about illness being simply an issue of mind over matter. Others talk about achieving goals as merely being an issue of mind over matter. Essentially, your destiny is simply an issue of mind over matter. But the struggle to be truly healthy, wealthy and wise and rise above the multitude with wings of eagles is not something that is happening for many people.

The reason for this is the human life cycle is not as simple as morphing from the biological, through the psychological and emerging as a truly fulfilled spiritual being. These three components of the human personality start developing at much the same time, but at different rates of growth. Not only do humans develop biologically, psychologically and spiritually at different rates, every individual will differ in their areas of development. Not every body has the same rate of development. This is not an orderly sequence of stages, even though in an ideal world it would be. Instead, people develop at varying rates and degrees of development within the stages of their development, and this makes life more complicated, when it need not be.

You can learn more about yourself by understanding where you stand in relation to your life cycle and whether you are resisting growth in a particular area because of internalized psychological blockages. Once you understand how things should be shaping up, you can then start establishing mind over matter, and seeing more clearly how you can become the masterful being you are potentially meant to be.

Could you imagine someone not wanting to be successful?

At a meeting one day a person told me he hated success because it bred success and all the successful people he knew were dirty people. Well, I suppose the book “Think and Grow Rich” contains the dirty dozen principles of success and one more to make it a baker’s dozen, so you do not get short changed.

Do you know what the principles espoused in “Think and Grow Rich”?

Desire is the first one that is given.

Faith is what your desire has to become.

Autosuggestion is where you start telling yourself what you believe

Specialized Knowledge is what is really required regardless how much you tell yourself what you believe, because if it has no virtue, what every you tell yourself is worthless.

Imagination is what you need if you are going to do something special with the specialized knowledge that you have, for without imagination you are not going to find a new application for your specialized knowledge

Organized planning is needed if you are going to put your imagination to good use, otherwise you will be like the gypsies and have your thoughts wandering everywhere.

Decision is absolutely essential if you make plans about anything and expect to get anything done, for unless there is a decision there will be no action or necessity to act, you will form a committee instead.

Persistence is something that we all love but hate to hear, because persistent people will get us to do something sooner or later and it is persistence that will get you a breakthrough in any endeavor you have decided to set your heart upon.

The mastermind alliance that comes from associating with people of a like mind, will help you overcome obstacles that you had not expected when making your plans, so it pays to cultivate friendships with those who have demonstrated success in their lives.

The mystery of sex transmutation is often misconstrued for becoming a playboy, but as the late J. Paul Getty discovered living it up in Las Vegas was rather pointless in the end, so he set about using his libido more creatively and built a massive fortune, besides bequeathing the Getty Museum to the people at no cost to the government.

The subconscious mind can take us further than we realize, once we tap into it and learn to understand what really makes us tick, for by training the subconscious to work in harmony with our conscious mind, we are able to work on autopilot.

The brain has to be feed the right type of food if it is going to serve us well, and neglecting this most vital organ is like having total disrespect for yourself, for it needs to well-nourished so it can produce those wonderful endorphins and keep you alert, sharp and in a state of mild euphoria.

The sixth sense is something which is more a mystery these days than sexual transmutation because it comes from the realm of the unconscious which is deep within us and if we can tap into this, then we will be able to make quantum leaps in our pursuit for excellence in our endeavors as we appease our deepest desire.

Investing in yourself is about the best investment you can make.

The reason for this is when you invest in yourself, you are increasing your true personal worth. When you make investments in savings debentures, bonds, stocks, property or anything else that might give you are return on your money, you may be increasing your personal financial worth, but this does not necessarily mean you are increasing your true personal worth.

Your true personal worth transcends your financial worth, just the same as a person who learns how to fish is worth more than the fish that are caught. The values are different. You know that you can eat the fish and survive, but cannibalism is not a consideration, so a better illustration is a chicken. A chicken lays eggs which can be eaten, or hatched to produce more chickens. Therefore to kill the chicken is not necessarily the best idea if you are hungry. It is better to get the chicken to lay eggs and eat the eggs. Because one chicken is worth many eggs. Similarly, you don’t kill the goose that lays the golden egg.

Investing in yourself is how you generate true personal wealth, because, even if you were to lose all your material wealth, you would still have the knowledge to overcome your adversity, survive, and become wealthy once again.

One of the problems that occurs when people obtain material wealth, without having to learn how to obtain it, is if they tend to lose it; this is because they were poor and not wealthy at all, and they will most likely remain poor unless they acquire the knowledge of how to be rich. If you do not know how to do something, you have to learn, and if you haven’t learnt what to do, then you will not be able to do whatever it is that you need to do. When it comes to accumulating material wealth, you need to learn how to do it, just in case someone takes it away from you. And, never think that you cannot lose the wealth you have, because the people who are most likely to lose wealth are the ones who did not earn it, or learn how to obtain it and then keep it.

Sometimes, events can be such that you get caught with your pants down and unexpectedly find yourself losing what you might have spent a few decades accumulating. This can happen through marriage breakdowns or through bad business relationships or a series of disasters that were out of your control, like natural disasters, criminal sabotage, government decisions, and global economic factors. However, if you have truly invested in yourself, you will overcome your circumstances and bounce back very quickly. Once you have learnt how to do something like accumulate wealth and understand the principles required, then you will find your true value.

Value is something that is always recognized and appreciated for what it is. Knowledge is the most valuable thing you can possess, providing it is experiential knowledge. People of value will always be able to get what they are worth.

You might think that you are undervalued, but so are diamonds which have not been found, recognized for their value and cut. If you think you are undervalued, then you probably haven’t learnt sufficient to be able to demonstrate your true value to other people. You may need some other skills that you have not yet possessed. In which case, you are probably like a diamond that has not been cut and polished.

One of the best ways to learn how to get the many facets of your true value to shine is to invest in yourself and find a mentor who can guide you in what is good, right and true for you. This is what the Happy Riches Club is all about: helping you to find your true value by investing in yourself.
